Finishing Touches Specialty is reviving over grown, often neglected landscapes and bringing them back to their original splendor.
Finishing Touches was a name of my business long before I even imagined the route it would take. Interior Design, Special Occasion Decorating even Personal Shopping made up the initial premise. From a passionate hobby to a lifestyle and business grew. If I am not physically gardening, I am thinking about it, writing about it or talking about it!
My business is small. We do the jobs that the big guys won’t do. We are the people that award winning landscape architects refer for maintenance and smaller changes and touches.
When people comment about ‘working for myself’, I smile and say, I don’t work for myself, I work for my clients. I treat each landscape as it is my own, while always mindful it is my client’s vision and budget that is first and foremost.
Finishing Touches Specialty is reviving over grown, often neglected landscapes and bringing them back to their original splendor. Gardens that offer interest, texture and often color for all the season that Maine can boast. I offer ‘garden coaching’ for those who love to garden, have a vision but can not make it work.
I am proud to be a Certified Maine Master Gardener and embrace the many volunteer projects that are some of the rewards of being a Master Gardener. I am humbled yet excited by the title, Cumberland County Horticultural Volunteer of 2008.
When time allows, I facilitate classes at Skillin’s Greenhouses & Nursery, teach at area Adult & Community Ed classes and speak at garden clubs. This year I will complete my 4th installment of The Landscape Design Study Course.
